When trying to lose weight you make tons of substitutions, but sometimes you just gotta have the real thing to hit that craving monster that has taken over your mind. That’s what happened to me last weekend. I couldn’t stop thinking about fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. I did just about everything to distract the constant yelling I heard in my head. Exercise, read a book, danced with Natie, you name it nothing worked, so…I racked my brain for ideas & remembered a post from Bakergirl. She actually has a few recipes that are meant for two – thankfully one of them is Chocolate Chip Cookies for Two!
I pretty much followed her recipe exactly. The only slight change I made was I used a tablespoon of Egg Beaters because I had an open container & just couldn’t bear to open an entire egg just for a tablespoon. (I have an egg obsession…seriously, I do!) This recipe not only curbed my craving, but kept the scale in check since I only had two to devour!
Ooey Gooey Goodness!
…and of course – Toddler Approved!
Love the picture of the cookie-with-a-bite out – makes me crave chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. 🙂
Now we just need to make the vegan! BTW, I found some Primal strips the last time I went to Whole Foods. Unfortunately they didn’t have the mushroom ones… Oh & Rich told me Somersaults had to be at the top of the list…but they don’t sell them in this area. 😦 We’ll be placing an order on our newest addictions! (Thanks to you! 🙂 )
Yummy! I seriously had a craving for chocolate chip cookies last night!! I’ll have to look at the cookies for 2 recipe!
Finding this recipe was such a life saver. Now we make “Mommy & Me Cookies” every weekend. Followed by lots of snuggle time.
Oh I had a banana bread craving for DAYS! Finally made some too. Now I want a cookie.
P.S. I’m your foodie pen pal! Did you get my e-mail?
Hi Julie! I did get your e-mail – I replied right back too. I’ll resend it. Please let me know if you don’t get it. And banana bread – LOVE!!! I have a feeling I’ll be craving some now! 😛
Love it! That’s what I love about WW – nothing is off limits, you just have to be in control. 😀
I am a week behind on Biggest Loser, but one of the contestants went home and baking was a HUGE part of her family. She decided to bake cookies – normally she alone could finish the dough and cookies within a 24 hour period. She told herself she would just have one. She ate just one. The best line she said was “I am one of those people who can eat just one cookie!”
